Its only late if there are already cost effective cures. HBV was always the main target for BLT.
I have no problem with HCV being canned but not the way it was done causing maximum carnage to the stock for no good reason. It could have been managed in a way that may even have resulted in a positive market reaction if timing was different and was accompanied by further data.
They have been on conference calls all day, probably to the US.
