I think having a bit of doubt is extremely helpful in investing. You cant trust any company blindly. Past performance is not always an indicator of future performance. A good managers dont always deliver accpetable performance, sometimes things get murky for unavoidable reasons. Deciding to sell a company you have held for a few years, and have had good returns from is very hard to do, but sometimes it does pay to move on. This is my experience.
I am not saying PGC is in this situation. I was more encouraged by todays announcement.
Personally though, I find it a bit weird that the Financial Impact comparisons today included numbers for acquisitions not yet even announced - seems a bit unusual and even presumptuous.
The massive share issue is still a bit of a turn-off for me. But there is much to digest from todays announcements.
