Yeah I think it's pretty evident that those deals, like the pilots, have more or less fallen over. They may exist on paper but the income is a trickle and will never ramp up.
The advertising deals (sorry, what did the report call them? Partnership was it?) with Visa, RACW, Affinion is showing us what we already knew, customers have better options than World phone and World message.
So that's it, we are left to pin our hopes on World Secure. World WiFi is not particularly unique and really only useful to a small bunch of people prepared to hotspot hop while spending a few dollars. Those who are happy to just hunt for open free WiFi spots or those who are happy to spend $5/day on mobile roaming aren't a target audience.
The language regarding new deals has also backed off a long way. It looks like the imminent deals are no longer but may come to fruition at some point later.
Really just hoping for a hail Mary now aren't we!!
