The early days can be very difficult, if you imagine:
"Hi. Just to let you know we are running a clinical trial for a promising new drug.
There were no safety issues with the previous formula, but this is a new formula that nobody has been given before...."
Now the oncologists can say:
"We are running a clinical trial for a promising new drug. Some people have already taken the drug, and there have been no safety issues or side effects.
These patients have shown a strong immune response, which can indicate blah blah promising blah blah your own body fighting the cancer blah blah etc..."
Oncologists will also be more keen to promote the trial, now there is some safety data and a strong immune response.
The more positive data and media cover that comes, the quicker enrollment could be.
