There are plenty of differences in technology.

    • Firstly oneweb are not operating a Nano-satellites as you have suggested. They are producing smallsats which are way bigger than Nano-Satellites. So a huge difference in cost in production.
    • Secondly SAS is using Narrowband not broadband. i'll let you research the differences.
    • Third is the ground unit technology. Once again go look at the differences and price points for both.

But the biggest difference is IMO is that OneWeb is a Unicorn with some serious partners where as SAS is battling to tie its shoe laces.

Jokes aside there clearly is a market and it will come down to affordability of the ground units and cost of data. If Oneweb (or someone making terminals for Oneweb intigration) can lower the terminal price enough then they could shut out SAS completely. If not then SAS has a niche market to market at.
