can't seem to copy and paste link on iPhone. check out ashwath damodarans talk on the life cycle of companies. SKT is an old company trying to act young defying the aging process by investing in growth.
paying 40m for a company generating $2.5m annual revenue, net loss $7.5m pa ($49 per year sub, 50,000 users, skt paid $800 per subscriber) for rugby alone doesn't sound all that exciting. an all sport streaming site like Kayo (UFC etc all in) has much more potential (even then Kayos recent subscriber numbers are disappointing) . let's see how they can turn rugby pass around. we need 1m fanatical rugby fans to generate $50m pa. they could have just started their own streaming site with pay per view and saved $40m.
