Increasing revenue with a dropping net profit is normally not as bad as it looks when much of those costs can be directly attributed to currency.

The Baht's 9% surge in the 12 months through December was more than double that of its closest rival and I think the second highest in the world.

Declining exports, low agricultural prices and a drop in international visitors loom as risks to growth over the next 12 to 18 months.

The outbreak of coronavirus in China may compound problems for the tourism industry. Chinese travellers are the biggest foreign spenders in Thailand, accounting for about 30% of tourist receipts last year.

And the Bank of Thailand has already put the market on notice.

Rising winds has kept the currency range-bound and has gone from being Asia’s top-performing currency in 2019 to dead last in January.

Perhaps a correction is in the air, and that's all goods news for ARB's continued growth in Sales Revenue
