Fundamental logic doesn't apply for the moment. I was around during the 2008 crash and yesterday I was thinking that this time around didn't have the fear of 2008 - now it does.

The initial 2008 falls were indiscriminate - you were hit no matter what you held. Extreme bargains ... and buyers very slow to step in. When the herd is screaming sell, its hard to do the opposite. The goldies dropped hard but recovered relatively early on. They hit lows on big volume and held for a few weeks just above that. The fear eased on them first and they were off. Sounds so simple but not so when the battle is raging.
