You've really nailed it. Telstra would never partner with a payment operator they didn't believe was best in class, had long term high growth and would reap benefits long term. Otherwise, you're right they would have partnered with square or created their own tech. The free advertising from Telstra is a nice bonus, looks like they're going to promote the hell out of it. Anything with large scale institutional backing and long term partnerships with the likes of Telstra and a falling share price is a screaming buy!
