News that the largest nuclear plant in Ukraine (and Europe) is on fire following shelling by Russian troops will scare many away from travelling internationally, especially to the UK and Europe.
There will be a perception Putin will stop at nothing. Perceptions may at be overblown, or result in what may appear to be irrational behaviour (such as cancelling a trip to say Thailand, a long way from Russia/Ukraine), but perceptions are what matter.
Travel sentiment won't be helped by comments from the Ukraine that if this nuclear plant at Zaporizhzhia, it 'will be 10 times worse than Chernobyl'.
