Zahava, actually I think the majority shareholder is very astute.
In PPG you have a business with very solid foundations but also very poorly managed and thus overlooked by the market.
It's screams old school value investing. Gain control of an undervalued business, remove underperforming management and assets and suddenly the market wakes up to the real value hidden under layers of management ineptitude.
Because the majority shareholder will be very motivated not to lose money on PPG it is only a question of time until the Board and management are refreshed so to speak.
