The European Union will ban all coal imports from Russia. The Reuters news agency learned this on Tuesday from a person familiar with the matter. Bloomberg also confirms the new sanctions. These are a reaction to the massacres of civilians in the Ukrainian town of Butscha.
The details of the ban and the timetable for the coal phase-out are still being discussed, Bloomberg reports.
