Am interested in EMR hence doing some research atm. Can someone enlighten me on interest payable on the debt re Note 14 please?
The bottom of Note 14 bugs me a little if it means what I think it means, i.e. on top of the 6.5%(?) interest rate, EMR is to pay the difference btw prior month's gold price vs US$1100? Assuming gold price is US$1900 for Mar22, EMR needs to pay an additional US$1,159,200 (US$800 x 1,449 oz) for Mar22? If the difference in gold price is assumed constant at US$800/oz over the total 62,307 oz, that's US$50m (A$71m @0.7) in additional interest payment on A$101m debt!!!
