Retail friends are telling me Easter is tough in Australia this year and will be extra tough on junk chocolate so novelty might have a space of added value to purchasers however cash crunch and inflation is expected to hurt retail sales
Small numbers only seen missing out of large boxes but at that price range not surprising and many shoppers leave to last minute. Shoppers are now being conditioned to inflation and actually expect higher prices but are reducing non essential consumption and celebration costs.
Just not sure if Yowie has enough brand name recognition with kids and 40 YO plus to get sales at that pricing. I am unsure if there is a special collectable series of characters that are only avaliable via " easter eggs" or if YOW have biassed a " missing" collectable and made it only avaliable in easter series eggs so probably not a collectable demand . Is anyone seeing any social media chatter or excitement about the product locally to drive demand?
Not sure what this promo will be profitable ansanone off so interesting to see what feedback managment give. Cheap to do with same product next year if they have had any reasonable interest
