In the WA construction landscape, many contractors and clients are now leaning more to Target Cost Estimate (TCE) contracts... This is beneficial to all parties as it de-risks and better incentivises each party.
In my experience with these contracts, there is a LOT less disputes and a clearer path for negotiation.
I expect this will continue for the next few years and lead to a lot less significant risk on contractors balance sheets and less unreported surprises resulting from commercial contract claims...
