Yes I think whether the gold price reaches those lofty $2500-3000 per ounce heights the main factor is the current gold price will be supported and there is likely to be renewed interest based around financial instability.
Even cracking the $2000 ounce that's a huge psychological barrier in itself and many people would re-rate gold investments based on that.
