the situation that you are describing (one quick blood test that makes current testing obsolete) sounds like the company Theranos (founder & CEO Elizabeth Holmes).
this new test promised everything but delivered nothing (was unreliable) except it gave a prison sentence for Elizabeth who was in 2014 named as one of the wealthiest women in the US.
was Theranos successful it would have severely damaged SHL (I guess) but it was a con, milking many millions, creating a cult figure. a house of cards - ponzi scheme.
look what your saying is possible, who the hell knows?
all companies have a life span some centuries some weeks.
unless you are Buffett when investing ask yourself "if this goes to crap, what will be the damage?"
