extremely unlikely within our lifetimes.
there's a lot more to diagnosing cancer than just identifying "cancer cells". many different types, level of invasion, types of hormone receptors they contain & numerous other technical details. An Oncologist needs all the details to determine treatment plans, not just the presence of "cancer cells" .
Surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormonal therapy, immunotherapy, palliative therapies, it varies so much according to the details.
A simple analogy would be the COVID RAT tests. they don't prove you do or don't have COVID, so when you turn up at hospital saying you have a positive RAT test, they won't prescribe antiviral therapy until a proper laboratory PCR test comes back positive.
Anyway, if AI becomes developed enough in the future, it will be Sonic that makes the most of it.
