I talked myself in to a small purchase after my previous post. I'm still below 1% of my portfolio, but at a $2.15 average price. If it gets to $1.50, I'll be back for more.

I / we didn't realise that it's ex-dividend today (5.5 cents) which can play havoc with a stock's share price -- particularly when it's a thinly-traded small cap.

Both Ord Minnett and Moelis have a "Strong Buy" recommendation on BRI according to Commsec. It also has the highest Buy/Sell ratio amongst Commsec customers of anything in my portfolio for what it's worth (probably not much!).





Expectations for 2024 have fallen since our result announcement. Expectations for next year, and the year after that for EPS are strong. I'm not sure how confident I feel in 20-odd percent growth for 2025 an 2026! I am expecting lumpy returns akin to a cyclical mining company. Buy when it's out of favour, as hard as that is. Have the discipline to sell when the price is hitting all time highs. Easier said than done. EPS guidance seems to be falling (not good).






Ten percent yield including franking credits sounds intuitively correct at a glance.

According to Market Index:If our mid-year dividend is the same, that's 15.7 cents for the FY with franking credits. Assuming the full year dividend is a touch higher, then yeah, 9-10% with the possibility of share price appreciation when residential housing picks up.
