They have been saying for years they would trial two different reactor types at CDP level. My understanding is that it should work either way but they are tuned for different outcomes. I'd have to go back and read some of the announcements to tease out the particulars as my memory is failing me, however one of them may be more efficient at scale than another, but that wouldn't change the rest of the design of a larger plant in any major way, so I'm not too worried.
