ASX MARKET RELEASE

The securities of Diamond Rose Limited (the "Company") will be
suspended from quotation immediately, at the request of the Company,
pending the outcome of resolutions to be considered by shareholders
at a general meeting on Friday 14 March 2003, and completion of a
proposed change to the Company's activities.

REQUEST FOR VOLUNTARY SUSPENSION

In accordance with paragraph 32 of Guidance Note 12 "Changes to
Activities", the Company requests that the securities of the Company
be voluntarily suspended from trading pending the outcome of the
Company's General Meeting which is to be held tomorrow, where, as per
the Notice of Meeting, shareholder approval will be sought for the
Company's proposed change of activities pursuant to Listing Rule
11.1.2 and for various other resolutions related to the acquisition
of the Guanaco Gold Mine in Chile.

We understand that if shareholders approve the Company's proposed
change of activities, the suspension will end after the Company has
met the requirements of Chapters 1 and 2 of the Listing Rules.
