Friday was a rebalancing for most big funds, so many shares are moving around, even for those companies that aren't moving in or out of any of the S&P indices.
The company told me last week that the shorters were active again. I don't think there is any major strategy behind these quant funds—they see significant MC and no revenue and place their bets short. If they win more than they lose, then they are ahead. I should revisit my post from when A4N entered the ASX300 and see how all the other entries are going; if you remember, all eight ASX300 entries had their short position increase significantly on entry. I'm hoping for one hell of a squeeze when we get some good news. Surely, it's close.
