It feels a bit like a walk in the Twilight Zone but I guess we have to read the report mindful of the date & period for which it is presented - as at 31 Dec.

At that timepoint it was arguably still full steam ahead, and the extent to which Labour’s policy and polling strength was going to potentially impact this project less apparent (unless we believe directors were not adequately assessing and communicating this risk in Dec - which may be arguable). Hence the lack of price sensitivity to this release last week because everything for which the period relates had been announced and is/was already known, and contemplation of what was not known (and has since come to light) is flagged there in the potential “Operational Risks” sections. The subsequent events section (“Events After The Reporting Period”) is the only part of this report that allows them to provide information “from the future”.

At the end of Dec we were still basking in the newly secured funding solution, Bell Potter’s PT upgrade to 9c, and trading at 2.5c.
