I have witnessed these sharp falls many times . A stock rises into the billions and years away from revenues the index funds forced to buy in and when it all unwinds they are forced to sell this is very common in mining stocks and the shorters love this. It's painful for those who purchased at the top or get stopped out but a great time for those who want to buy in cheap and hold long term.
