I am simply responding to your query and not cross promoting. I bought IGL and they paid well in past and declared 8.5c interim fully franked dividend so obviously not reflection of future return so as always check their balance sheet to work out what you need to review on the stock if interested. ... IMO.... obviously i bought sometime ago so my return will be in excess of 9% fully franked if I get another 8c in final divie.
below is dividend history of IGL. please note that "payout ration" in key data below is something you need to check on their latest report as sometime data doesn't match but ex-date and amount should match... IMO.
