Well the 19.9% is a CR and a strategic partnership. CR in the sense they will get $. Strategic in the sense that OSL will hopefully leverage from the partner technical, regulatory, marketing and distribution assets and the partner will probably get to buy OSL at some stage. Maybe US rights go into the deal? Maybe its private equity?
Regardless, this had to happen. We need another couple of years to get cash flows of significance and we don't have the funds to go 2 years. Much less fund FDA trials.
OSL doesn't have the cashflow to take this worldwide by itself. And there is no more retail capital left to raise from the Oncosil well.
If a major company takes the stake it's also a validation of Oncosil's technology, a sign that they have assessed that the device has a real future. I hope it is a good deal, and the market responds positively.
I find it strange that an announcement of a possible strategic partnership causes the sp to tank. I hear the theories about manipulation. Or maybe the market doubts it will happen. Or they are just factoring in the dilution against the 5c sp.
I will buy some more too. The EV is under 30 million. I just can;t see their achievements to date being worth under 3x that number
