I've never understood why a consolidation is so feared??
surely the worth of the company ie the market cap doesn't suddenly change when say 10 shares are converted to 1 new share
I can only see advantages eg gives the company the ability to cancel small holdings - I'm thinking here of this bbf members who only hold a few shares.
what are the actual disadvantages??
am looking for logic here. not emotional responses
