seawitch, the US still has a long way to go to get any LNG export up. Note their spot price is around US$3.50, and our East coast is around AUD$4.50, so both have scope for advances if they become oil linked.
My own thoughts on north american LNG export are that it is likely to face obstacles politically as such a move would raise gas prices, not very popular with consumers, but it is currently so far away there will be several years of operation in the QLD projects before the US could come on stream.
Note this is based on some incidental research, I am no expert on US LNG prospects.
