Note - thinking there are some people way more qualified than me to explain these concepts but I will have a go (calling on @Scarpa but there may be others)
So I think what Natural Nanotech are working on is a more cost-effective and more efficient media (material) for use in Pressure Swing Adsorption plants.
Fullerene is basically a cage that can used to selectively capture certain gases. The problem is that it is very, very expensive to make ... until GICAN came along and worked out how to make it more cost-effectively using Halloysite Nanotubes as a template.

So pressure swing adsorption plants can be used to separate gases (see link above for explanation of the video).
The tanks are filled with a media or material often in the form of pellets. The gas is then selectively adsorbed into the material.
