My understanding is this certification was necessary for the Halo to be imported and used in drones in general. The next step is for the FAA to turn the provisional approval we have in the Airobotics drone to operate out of line of sight. If we get that the company will be able to potentially tap into an "unlimited market".
The second approval could not happen without the first; though we might (or at least should) have had this first approval for a while - maybe even when the Airobotics trial started - already. No imports without this certificate.
