Subject: Contact Energy Limited ("CEN") - CEN010 maturity and Exchange Offer
Message:
NZX Regulation ("NZXR") advises that the Contact Energy Bonds ("CEN010") are
due to mature on 15th May 2014.
Further to the announcement on 8th January 2014, CEN intend to give CEN010
bondholders the opportunity to exchange 1 CEN010 bond for 1 new bond under an
Exchange Offer.
Alternatively, holders of CEN010 bonds who do not wish to participate in the
Exchange Offer will have their bonds redeemed on 15th May 2014 in accordance
with the terms and conditions of the CEN010 bonds.
A timetable of events is set out below:
Trading in CEN010 bonds is halted at close of business - Wednesday, 19th
February 2014
Record date for Exchange Offer - 5.00pm, Monday, 24th February 2014
Exchange Offer opens - Wednesday, 26th February 2014
Allotment of new bonds under the Exchange Offer and Trading in CEN010 bonds
resumes - Expected to be on or before Thursday, 20th March 2014
Quotation of new bonds - Friday, 21st March 2014
