Hi there thought I might be able to add to the conversation and information on this platform.
FYI - Indigenous Australians are not usually referred to as "tribes" - but people.
The traditional owners in this area of country are called the Eastern Guruma People.
It is important for mining companies to have proper consultation with the traditional owners/native title holders.
Equinox Resources would appear to have lodged a Section 18 application without proper consultation. There was some media this week on this:

Another significant challenge for the Company are the environmental issues. The Hamersley Iron Ore Project is right next to the iconic Karijini National Park.
Surface and ground water from the Project area feed into the world-famous Hamersley Gorge (google it).
You may also want to look at the Save Karijini campaign that so far has 15,000 signatures from the public.
