Rare earths materials group Hastings Technology Metals is cutting jobs – including that of its new chief executive Paul Brown.
Hastings Technology Metals says it has undertaken “an organisational restructure as part of ongoing efforts to manage costs prudently” as it advances financing and strategic options for its Yangibana Rare Earths Project in Western Australia.
“In the restructuring, there has been a material reduction in the workforce numbers, including that of the chief executive officer. Accordingly, current CEO Mr Paul Brown, who joined Hastings in September last year, will leave the business on 31 May 2024,” the company said. The number of job cuts was not specified.
