Chris looks much less comfortable in a suit than in work boots and Akubra. I cannot see him ever retiring. He enjoys kicking rocks too much.
The suit he wore to the AGM today didn't indicate he was down to his last few bucks and looking for a handout. He was rapt to announce that a discovery made almost 40 years ago will be drilled for the first time next year.
We were assured today there are no warts or blemishes on Kalkaroo. When deciding how to allocate their resources, BHP appears to have preferred other options.
There are a number of companies who have indicated interest in Kalkaroo. The data generated by OZ/BHP (at no cost to HAV) will be available to these suitors and can only increase their appetite for a prospect they have admired from afar.
I would not be surprised if we don't get at least as much as OZ offered once these companies have access to this expanded data and research.
