With regards to HAV's Mutooroo project, yes, it does produce electricity. I hear the South Australians can do with every watt they can get.
It also needs a "high-quality" water source (whatever that means). I seem to recall in the past they did have a Chinese partner and their was some talk of shipping the ore overseas for processing.
