Ann: Hawkley to raise up to $18 million , page-37

I'm with Meerkat (without the melodrama, though). Why would I pay 37cps via a placement for 10K when I can pay the same on market, and have less dilution in my newly-acquired shareholding? It's not like the extra capital will make a material difference when Hartleys is bankrolling progress in return for large slabs of equity.

Many are writing platitudes like "necessary evil" and "at least there'll be progress and the sp will double in 6 months IMO lol dyor". I would have much preferred a rights issue. Though in practice, the sp will be depressed for a while now, and one may buy on market at roughly the same price as a rights issue anyway...
