There is nothing stopping LDA from selling the shares. So when hio tap LDA for some capital, it gets a 10% discount. Shares are at say 20 cents. That means they get issued at 18 cents. LDA will sell the majority of the shares when the price is above 18 cents making a profit. Before the next instalment is called, LDA can sell the remaining shares below the 18 cents, to get a better buy in price, say 16 cent buy in. Then the next lot of shares are 14 cents roughly, sell those shares above 14 cents, make profit. If in the mean time the company issues a good announcement, shares will be naturally sold into the rise, making the rise less than normal. Its a horrible deal for existing shareholders, great for the finance company.

Hi Daz,

I'm sure your views won't be to popular here but you raise the point that there will be volatility. If you're a day trader this may or may not be a good thing. I agree, volatility will most likely prevail for a while yet. But, for those here for the longer term, the idea of future funding is a big deal. I don't think anyone expects it to be smooth sailing until production. The question here is, should you be viewing HIO as a longer term investment, will they make it to production and what will be the benefit to shareholders?
