Thumbs up, mate! Many thanks for all the info re Vietnam. Basically this kind of deal is what Germany has been doing for decades. Guarantee credit for a project in a developing nation and most of the time have a german company deliver the power, chemical or whatever plant. Credit will be paid back in future years from profits made by the plant. Works very well most of the time and even if it doesn't, since credit has been guaranteed by the government there is no damage inflicted to the companies involved. Should work in this case, too. Only I don'tknow whether Australia does deals like this routinely and how long it will take until an agreement is signed. Should be rather easy provided the decision makers are supportive. I hope we'll hear from ATC about a resolution soon.
