I am also pondering about the timing of the announcement. Generally you expect news like this to come COB Friday for obvious reasons.
Either MIN decided they were announcing Monday morning because who gives a **** lets just do it. And HZR have had to echo that announcement simultaneously... or HZR are internally bullish that the fundamentals are strong and this parting of ways with MIN should not disrupt the SP more than a hiccup.
I am leaning toward the latter... HZR have their thing, MIN collab was a punt that didn't work out but HZR have been busy in the meantime and the waste treatment plant reactor is exciting enough to keep most people onboard. Not to mention the vast majority of investors kind of extrapolated that the MIN deal was over a long time ago.
What I think we have seen here is a simple fear sell. Entirely likely we will reverse course and head upward tomorrow. Plenty of hands out today ready to catch some cheap shares... I being one of them.
