The spot market doesn't really play a part for me, other than a value opportunity. Stockpiles are a definite factor...as per one comment, Cameco is buying off the spot market to feed into its contracts. I am not aware of the stockpile numbers, or annual production vs consumption values. They are not important to me because I'm not concerned with current U price (if I Was I would not touch U stocks either!), I'm concerned with potential future U price.
So those three instincts are all that matter for me as they feed into that future U price. If one was to change all of a sudden for whatever reason, then I would cease to be a U bull (and cease to be in U stocks). So i don't really see it as 'locking up capital' because I can exit whenever I decide.
