The Forbes story was plenty informed, it was the comprehension that lacked and, alas, I can’t blame the Perth heat as I’m in tending more towards the Great Southern these days

- lack of heat, lack of crowds, lack of road traffic all replaced by an abundance of sky and sea,and the 'crowds’ are mostly gangs of pelicans flying overhead and the marsh birds squabbling about where to boost.​

But I’m heading back to the ‘big smoke’ on Monday and - sadly - this is true in a very literal sense.

It seems as if there are few positives on the horizon despite the government ‘lifeline.’

- Expectations of the sale that has not yet happened or something else?
