With the Mineral Reserves updated, investors should expect to see a change in the expected mine life.

Any mine life extension will be the result of the mine design and resource extraction plan. The drilling campaign results, and the geology they identify, will be important in the mining pit design - particularly the mine wall angle.

The drilling results identify geology (eg marble) that will support a pit with a steeper mine wall angle. A steeper wall angle means a smaller pit opening, with less overburden that needs to be removed to access the resource. This lowers the costs and reduces overburden waste.

The mine design and resource extraction plan requires a considered and thorough approach, which hopefully is not too far away.
