Hello w00lfy. Like you, I've not been around much, but will briefly add my 2 cents, as it's late:
Based on the comments above, most long-termers see the benefit of management's measured prudence, proceeding steadily toward our goal, not taking their eyes off the ball, continuing their efforts as always to maximise our profits and minimise our costs. Speaking for myself, I do not feel "frustrated and strung along." After 6+ years, a month or two is neither here nor there, especially considering the end result will not only be an improved bottom line, but a smoother path to commissioning. Of course our experienced new hires will have value to add. As such, their contribution now, leading to "cost efficiencies, a tighter development schedule and reduced delivery risk" will be an excellent outcome. As all of Lepidico's announcements are, Friday's was concise, factual and full of good news. Had the share price risen upon its delivery, the sentiment here would be strikingly different- optimistic and positive, rather than dejected and negative.
Secondly, I hotly contest allegations above of a leaky ship. We know our management to be tight lipped. We also know the macro sentiment has been under pressure from multiple angles: recession fears, geo-political uncertainty due the Ukraine/Russia conflict escalating to Putin's conscription a few days ago, but mostly imo share prices overseas and locally were affected by the CPI and PPI numbers last week preceding the Fed's 0.75 rate hike Wednesday. LPD's share price moved in line with many companies in the lithium sector. The BEOT let AGY, AKE and PLS run, however CXO, ESS, LTR, NMT all had the air let out of their tyres. Most lithium company share prices were toppy middle of last week and were run steadily down and fairly consistently percentage wise:
CXO went from a mid-week high of $1.688 to a Friday low of $1.345
ESS from $0.57 to $0.45
LTR from $1.815 to $1.53
NMT from $1.64 to $1.145
Our share price drop from the low 3 cents to the high 2's pre-announcement is consistent with the above and less brutal than NMT's sudden fall, a company also progressing their tech with solid management. Therefore, I in no way, shape or form see LPD's recent price movements as reflective of leaks. Financial institutions are opportunistic. The share price is right where they want it. They are accumulating, as is evident by our 5 month channel. More to add here, but will on Tuesday, as I'm away for a couple of days. Cheers all and chin up.
