Probably cos itd be like snake trying to swallow elephant. It starts on the trunk thinking it's got a nice meal trying to swallow it whole but as it works it's way up it quickly realises its out of its depth and at any moment the elephant could move and stomp the guts out of the snake, sending it to the nearest bowl of se gang in a Hong kong restraunt for an ignominious albeit probably justifiable end.
