Gets even better when DEG trucks the highgrade ore (well... relatively high grade for DEG) from Ashburton in the south.
For context, RMS used to truck ore over 300km from their Vivien U/G mine, they stated that it cost approx 0.7g/t (to truck).
So... DEG ideally have 1.4m ounces (probably closer to 800-900k ounces with a 70% conversion rate) at 2g/t after trucking costs.
For $25 an ounce, you can see why DEG was so happy to lock in the option to acquire it (plus most of the full cost can be paid in shares).
I genuinely think DEGs team know that with further satellite assets, 1,000,000 ounces p.a. is achievable, especially if the plant goes well above nameplate (most plants can do 20% without too much work). The hub and spoke has worked well for the likes of RMS, DEG is just doing it on a bigger scale.
