From what I have been hearing locally around Braidwood the vultures are already circling awaiting for Unity to go under.
Most of the mine staff that were here ready to commence have either been sent to Henty, layed off or have simply pulled the pin entirely and moved on. The mood around town is one of no confidence that anything will happen at Dargues any time soon if at all. Economically things have declined substantially in a number of sectors around town.
So what we have to show for all the work carried out so far is basically the construction of a brand new access road terminating at the face of an earthen embankment where the shaft should begin, a few pads for other infrastructure, some portable building growing cobwebs and that's about it. Now the wait and for god knows how long or for what.....
Have to say my faith in the company has been shot to s#%t since they shut the gate at Dargues. The value of my $50k parcel of shares purchased about 3 years ago at an average of 14.5c when owned by Cortona is now almost worthless. I really have very little choice but to hold and hope that something positive may eventually happen.
Thanks for nothing Andrew and Unity. From one that was 100% behind the project from the outset I am now totally disillusioned. You have a lot to answer for to all shareholders. I hope that your observers of this site pass on the message to you.
