This isn't great news for AMI. Hopefully the gold price will provide some buffer for the bad news but it's ultimately a poor outcome.
I am stunned that they can maintain FY19 guidance in the face of rising processing costs, lower grades and lower metal prices. The lift in gold is great and the drop in AUD is good but how that offsets the much higher costs is a mystery to me.
Best of luck to SH because if they can actually hit guidance, it should stabilize at higher prices. But if they miss it after today's announcement, it'll be carnage.
