An MD is on the board and has a say in board decisions as well as running the operations of the company. A CEO has no say in board decisions. This news is 11 months old.
Agree that it is good that the board is smaller and that Menzies should not be there either after Glencore's terrible behavior. At least shareholders will get to protest when Menzies has to face a vote at the next AGM.
I am afraid that they just dont get it and will try to appoint a new director.
