It does seem like overkill at any other time in history, however i do wonder whether this announcement serves as a reminder to the market that there is a (potential) campany making drilling program about to be undertaken and tickets for the ride are still mighty cheap.
Wait until the daytraders return - volume is still pretty low. Interesting times ahead...
