Ultimately, if the company becomes aware of information that could be expected to have a material effect on the share price then they are obligated to release this to the market under ASX rules. In past drills that I've followed, information regarding fluorescence, elevated mud gas readings etc. have usually been considered material and hence released to the ASX. Given the company is doing LWD, they will have this information well before they reach TD and hence would have to announce it.
